Donate Your Home Movies
Home movies are among our most vulnerable materials, at risk of chemical deterioration, irreversible damage, and permanent loss.
We are accepting home movie submissions to our growing archive. In exchange for free digitization services, a digital copy of your transferred films will be donated to the archives. Your films will be preserved and made available for public access for educational, research, and creative purposes.

Donate Your Films
- Gather your home movies.
- Fill out the Eligibility Questionnaire.
- A member of our staff will contact you to arrange your film submission.
- After your films are digitized, your digitized video files will be saved to a thumb drive and delivered to you. You may request that your original films be returned to you, or you may choose to donate them to the archives, where they will be preserved as part of our physical collection.
Schedule a Viewing and Story Interview
We would like to schedule a viewing and story Interview at the time of file delivery. This gives you the opportunity to watch your home movies and share your memories in your own words. Interviews may be paired with home movie footage to help tell the stories behind the films, promote the Home Movie Project, and potentially be included in a future compilation film celebrating the project and its participants. Although the story interview is not required, we encourage participants to take part.
