November is World Vegan Month! With Thanksgiving on the horizon, this is a good time to remember our friends and family members who don't consume food that derives from animals. Having food that vegans can enjoy at Thanksgiving just got a lot easier with these cookbooks!
World Vegan Month
VEGAN, at Times by Jessica Seinfeld
This is a beautiful book that is easy to read and includes pictures for every recipe. I'm always drawn to cookbooks that have great pictures of the finished product, as it gives me a visual cue of what I'm looking to make by the end of the journey. Cook times and food lists are provided for easy planning.
Vegan Soul Kitchen by Bryant Terry
Vegan Soul Kitchen has a special section on vegan drinks, appetizers, and snacks that you can whip up for your friends and family to enjoy. Learning to make a few of these will allow you to have your vegan friends over without worrying about whether there's something for them to eat while you hang out together.
Vegan Mac and Cheese by Robin Robertson
If your goal is to learn to make a great mac and cheese the vegan way, then this is a great starting point. With over 50 different takes on how to make vegan mac and cheese, you are sure to find a recipe that scratches that itch for everyone at the table.
Vegan Cooking for Two by America's Test Kitchen
This is cheating a bit. I've always loved America's Test Kitchen Cooking for Two books. Each recipe has pictures of the finished product, and every recipe starts with the section, 'Why this recipe works' which gives so much insight into the goal of the recipe and cooking tips.
