The Main Library will reopen Monday, March 30.
We are excited to welcome you back at the Main Library! Please note these important upcoming changes surrounding any library items you've placed on hold.
On March 30, your pending hold requests with pickup location “Main—pick up at Looby” will change to “Main Library.”
This means that any hold requests not filled before March 30 will default to the Main Library instead of to the Looby branch when they become available for pick up.
Here's the timeline
- Requested items that are already awaiting pickup on the hold shelf at Looby Branch will remain there.
- Any pending hold items that are filled now through March 29 will be available at Looby Branch.
- Any pending hold items that are filled on or after March 30 will be available at the Main Library.
NPL will not relocate any held items, either before or after March 30, unless you request that we do so.
You may wish to stick with picking up your held items at the Looby branch (or any branch location). If so, we can help!
Three convenient ways to change your pickup location
- DIY-style, online: Make the change/s in your library account* (Log In > Titles on Hold > Change Pickup Loc.).
- Also online: Submit a request and we’ll take care of it.
- Old-school: Speak with library staff in person at any NPL location (excepting the Main Library prior to March 30).
*Note: "Main Library" will not be available as a pickup location in your library account until March 30; “Main Library—pick up at Looby” will revert to “Main Library” on that day.
