Understand Voting and Elections - For Kids!

February 24, 2020

Are you prepared for what's coming? Three elections between now and the end of the year! Get ready to answer your kiddos' questions with these books from the library.

Twas the night before the election and all through the town,

election signs were popping up out of the ground.

The television ads were all over the air,

until the parents were pulling their hair!

The children were asking a million questions

and parents were hoping for any suggestions.

Don't worry, you grownups, the library is here

with a list of great books to help those you hold dear.

We've got voting and elections and suffrage for all

from the tiniest baby to your preteen quite tall.

The following lists are collections of nonfiction books about the voting process, elections, and the presidency. Though the lists are divided into 2 age groups, these are only loose guidance and it doesn't mean your child wouldn't enjoy titles from both lists. You, as always, know your child best! Enjoy!
