Project Description

Metro Archives seeks a motivated and curious Research Intern to support an Archives project focused on exploring Nashville’s rich historical collections. Interns conduct in‑depth research using archival materials and resources, then help transform their findings into public‑facing content. This includes assisting in the curation of an exhibit and contributing to project‑related blog posts and social media features. Additional project tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred Applicants

  • College or graduate students with an interest in history, political science, museum studies, archival studies, or related fields. 
  • Enthusiastic about archival research and creating educational content. 
  • Able to work independently with accuracy and strong attention to detail. 
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. history
  • Able to read cursive handwriting (preferred but not required).
