Ok. It’s that time of year. Time to share the best books I’ve read in the past year. We’ll start with my best Nonfiction and then my next post in two weeks will cover Fiction and Romance. Let’s get this party started - in no particular order.

During COVID, Jen posted a black screen and then explained that her marriage had collapsed. I spent a more than healthy amount of time trying to find out why. This book (finally) gave me the answers - without being disrespectful to her ex or children. I blew through it in less than 24 hrs. Thanks, Jen, for sharing your life.
Group of essays about Gilmore Girls? Uh, yes please and keep it coming. Also fun to see Michael Ruhlman again. I’ve very much enjoyed his cookbooks, it was good to see him here. Who knew he was friends with Digger?
I always love his stuff. So many interesting connections made and lessons learned. Second installation might be better than his first - The Tipping Point. But why limit yourself? Just read both.
I first saw Zarna on Seth Myers show and immediately had to put this on hold. And like most comedians, getting the audio is the best way to go. Zarna is funny and awesome and if you haven’t heard her yet, you need to.
This was kind of hard to read and made me angry in spots, but I think that’s why it’s valuable. Kermit said it's not easy being green. He should try being a woman.
As someone who is always looking for ways to improve health that don’t necessarily include drugs or medicine, this book was a great read.
I’ve never read a book like this one before. It was heavy and dense and really made me think about some things. You don’t often find books that are terrifying and educational at the same time.
For the longest time, I considered myself a Fiction person. If I could only pick one kind of book to read, it would be fiction (probably romance). But recently, I’ve realized that if I have to choose, nonfiction would likely be the winner. There are just so many fun topics to read about.
Happy Being Real (get it…cuz Nonfiction)...
