From its opening on June 9, 2001, the Main Library has grown to embody the creative spirit of our city – a spirit that shines through 25 years’ worth of puppet shows, book clubs, story times, and people gathering to create and learn together.
Today, as a cultural cornerstone in downtown Nashville, NPL’s flagship location is home to one-of-a-kind spaces that include the Civil Rights Room, Votes for Women Room, Metro Archives, and beloved Wishing Chair Productions Puppet Theater.
We hope you’ll be there to celebrate with us on June 13. Here’s to another 25 years of stories!
On June 13 only, visitors to the Main Library may park for up to 12 hours at McKendree Garage, 140 6th Ave. North, for a discounted rate of $4.00, excluding service fee and applicable taxes. (On other days, the discounted parking rate is for up to 90 minutes.) Upon parking, scan the QR code inside the garage to enter your phone number, license plate, and payment information.
After entering the library, scan the second QR code located near the first-floor Circulation Desk to apply the discounted rate.
