Parking

The Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) owns the garage adjacent to the Main Library, which remains closed.

Nearby Options

Patrons visiting the Main Library may park at two nearby locations for a discounted rate of $4.00 (excluding service fee and applicable taxes) for up to 120 minutes:

• McKendree Garage at 140 6th Ave. North (Located across the street from the Library.)
• Parking garage at 144 Rep. John Lewis Way North 

Follow these instructions for the discounted rate: 

1. After parking, scan the QR code inside the garage to enter your phone number, license plate, and payment information. 
2. After entering the library, scan the second QR code located near the first-floor Circulation Desk to apply the discounted rate. 

Please note: Visits exceeding 120 minutes will be charged at the standard garage rate for the full duration of parking. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
